• Vegetable oils are often used as sources of energy for horses. The oil can also be used to reduce dust by binding it in the feed, or for other therapeutic purposes. One positive side effect of using the oil is a glossy, healthy coat!

The oil found in milk thistle seeds has the highest content of essential, polyunsaturated fatty acids found in oil plants. In contrast to saturated fatty acids, the polyunsaturated fatty acids draw less oxygen from the blood and replenish empty glycogen stores better than other oils. They also act as mobile and readily available energy source, which could have a positive effect on growth, fertility and the immune system. Milk thistle oil also provides the horse with vitamins and minerals.

Feeding recommendation:

• Mix 50-150 ml with your horse's concentrate daily, depending on the horse's needs and weight. The first results can be seen after about 10 days. The effects will intensify over time and use.
