Description

German packaging: Nr. 19 Mordskerl

With its special combination of herbs, amino acids and bioactive nutrients, the No. 19 Mordskerl covers your horses' needs during special circumstances where its muscles or immune system are under a lot of stress.

This multifaceted nutrient concentrate provides nutrients for horses with increased needs or covers nutrients for horses with deficiencies. The supplement can be used for:

  • Horses increasing their training
  • In preparation for stallion licensing and auctions
  • Senior horses who need a boost
  • Stallions who need more vitality
  • Horses experiencing stress from a frequent change of stables
  • For sluggishness, reluctance to move and tension
  • For horses with Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS)
  • For horses suffering from PSSM (polysaccharide storage myopathy)
  • For horses with a tendency toward spasms in their internal organs
  • For chronic bronchitis
  • For tendencies toward colic
  • For in horses with structural disorders of the connective tissue
  • For the long-term management of mental and physical stress at a cellular level

A mix of Antioxidants

No. 19 Mordskerl is based on a sophisticated recipe that combines nutrients that harmonise well together.

This includes lysine and methionine, two amino acids that support muscle building. Highly effective natural vitamin E is twice as available as synthetic vitamin E that is easily absorbed into the cells.

Polyphenols from green tea extract and oligomeric proanthocyanidins from grape seeds, as well as selenium yeast and the zinc chelate intercept free radicals that are increased due to high-performance sports, stress and illness.

It is important to combat free radicals with antioxidants as free radicals can accelerate the inflammatory process, damage the cells and hinder muscle building and metabolism, as well as the regeneration of connective tissue.

Nutrients for the muscles:

When building muscle or during a lot of muscle strain, your horse needs more magnesium and manganese. Both of these nutrients support muscle recovery and the smooth formation of creatine and thus ATP (an energy supplier). Furthermore, they are involved in lactate breakdown and gluconeogenesis (the conversion of lactic acid into glucose).

In Mordskerl, the magnesium used is in its citrate form and manganese used comes in the highly bioavailable chelate form, so the two ingredients can be absorbed by the body more quickly.

Your horse needs relaxed muscles to be able to grow. Over-acidified muscles can be painful, causing your horse to be reluctant to work out or train. Long-term muscle tension can serve as a basis for later joint damage.

Sun-dried Burmese spirulina from wild growth

The spirulina algae from Burmese wild growth used in this recipe is particularly rich in spirulan, a polysaccharide that has been shown to have an immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory effect by two German universities. Furthermore, this alga provides the entire spectrum of amino acids, plenty of minerals and trace elements as well as natural chlorophyll.

Carnitine

The recipe also contains carnitine. Carnitine is an endogenous substance that specifically supports fat loss for the purpose of generating energy within the cells. Only with the help of carnitine can the fatty acids reach the interior of the mitochondria, the energy power plants of the cell, where it is converted into ATP. During high-performance sports and during old age, the horse's needs are greater than the amount of creatine their bodies can produce. The need for carnitine, hawthorn, grape seeds and magnesium is increased with high performance, stress as well as in old age and situations that are hard on the heart.

Vitalizing herbs and roots

No. 19 Mordskerl is based on a herbal mixture of digestive and vitalising herbs such as Peruvian Maca root, Taiga root and cinnamon, which incidentally is considered a natural source of chromium. The recipe also contains artichokes and milk thistle, which contain bitter substances and support liver function. Hawthorn and rosemary were considered heart-strengthening by Saint Hildegard von Bingen.

The Secret of the Andes

The maca root is one of the strangest plants on earth. It thrives in the dizzying heights of the Peruvian Andes at around 3800 m to 5000 m. It is used by the native people as a food source and tonic. It was so culturally important that it was banned by invading Spanish conquerors and missionaries who forbade its consumption. The native people of Peru and the Andes saved the seeds and still use them today as the maca root is very rich in nutrients. Due to the nature of the soil and the high altitude where the plant grows, it had to develop special properties to ensure its survival in this inhospitable area. The tuber is so rich in vitamins and minerals that the beds it grows in can only be used once every ten years. Scientific evidence supports the claim that maca strengthens the immune system. Other studies have proven the antioxidant effect and vitalising properties of the root, which could also counteract depression and chronic fatigue. Maca root is rich in vitamins, iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus. The main active ingredients are alkaloids, an ester mixture (alphasterol) and a steroid called beta-sitosterol. The effect is similar to that of ginseng.

No.19 Mordskerl

Is free of all fillers. All the ingredients used are of pure food quality. The recipe does not include any binding agents, flavourings and additives. The trace elements are bound in chelate form to enable the quick absorption of the nutrients without straining the metabolism.

These ingredients have been selected to support the muscles and connective tissue.

When to use the supplement:

No. 19 Mordskerl provides the building blocks for the formation of a functional immune system, for healthy muscle function, for improvement of the connective tissue and for an increased will to perform. Use for:

  • Sport horses (tournaments, sale and auction horses)
  • When changing stables or during infections
  • For seniors and horses that have been ill
  • After giving birth
  • To strengthen the immune system and significantly reduce the herpes virus (Pulz et.al in the journal "Vitalstoffe" edition 1 2011).

Feeding recommendation:

  • Large horses: 45g daily (3 measuring spoons full), correspondingly less for small horses.
  • Due to the increased trace element content, please do not feed more than 200g per horse per day.
